Tighten loose doorknobs, cabinet handles, and hinges
Check bed frame bolts, chair/table legs
Review on‑site supplies (batteries, filters, bulbs)
Visually inspect exterior (obvious damage, downspouts where accessible)
Spot‑check window latches in key areas

Test all interior & exterior lights; flag/replace failed bulbs
Run and test major appliances
Check plumbing: run sinks, showers, toilets; look for leaks, slow drains, etc
